A force of plentiful, well-trained workers.
Albuquerque has a large, highly-trained workforce. In fact, many analysts believe this workforce is one of the reasons why New Mexico is better poised to make the most of economic growth than many other cities.
Almost 22 percent of metro Albuquerque’s labor force is within the important 20-34 age bracket. And this age group is expected to grow much faster in Albuquerque than in the rest of the nation as a whole. Albuquerque also boasts one of the country’s largest percentages of workers with college degrees. And a steady supply of new talent is being created by Albuquerque’s educational institutions, particularly the University of New Mexico and Central New Mexico Community College.
